Hannes shares the story of his life with his late husband Henry, from how they first met and fell in love to the moment Henry began opening up about his gender identity. Neither of them knew exactly what the future would look like. But rather than trying to find all the answers, they chose to face that uncertainty together.

Our conversation also turns to Privileg, a documentary that follows Henry and offers an intimate look at identity, acceptance and the experiences of a trans person living in Berlin.

Hannes reflects on how loving Henry shaped his understanding of other people, the importance of listening without judgment, and the unexpected kindness he experienced during one of the most difficult moments of his life.
