Amina lives alone with her 15-year-old daughter, Maria, in a suburb of N'Djamena, Chad. Her already difficult life takes a dramatic turn when she learns that Maria is pregnant. Maria does not want to keep the baby. In a country where abortion is forbidden by both religion and law, Amina finds herself facing a struggle that seems doomed from the very beginning.
