Oleg is a young, talented paramedic. His wife, Katya, works as an emergency room doctor. She loves Oleg but can no longer bear that he cares more about his patients than about her, and she wants a divorce.

Meanwhile, Oleg's new boss is a cold-hearted manager determined to improve the efficiency of emergency response services by enforcing strict new rules—something Oleg has little interest in, as his only concern is saving lives.
