When people mysteriously vanish after wading into a remote lake, a paranormal investigator and an actor set out to document the disappearances. As the investigator begins to suspect the cases are connected to her mother's disappearance years earlier, their search for answers leads them to an ancient, unspeakable evil lurking beneath the lake's surface.
