Elena is a student in Minsk, Belarus. She is in an intense but increasingly destructive relationship with Viktor. When her father is arrested, she must continue his illegal business and repeatedly travel into the restricted Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Captivated by its deceptive beauty, she soon finds her own life contaminated by a destructive force.
