Yusuf and his best friend, Memo, are students at a boarding school for Kurdish boys, isolated in the mountains of Eastern Anatolia. When Memo suddenly falls mysteriously ill, Yusuf must overcome the bureaucratic obstacles imposed by the school's repressive administration to help his friend.

By the time the adults finally realize the severity of Memo's condition and try to take him to a hospital, the school has been buried under a sudden, heavy snowfall. With no way out and desperately searching for help, teachers and students become caught in a web of blame, guilt, and long-hidden secrets as time relentlessly runs out.
